Easter 2014

Happy Easter!  We had a great family weekend with the kids being out of school for Good Friday, it made it a very nice 3 day weekend which we took full advantage of.  I had to post my Easter morning pics with Jacob dressed up in a tie looking like the true stud muffin that he is!
My sweet Gwyn with her leopard flats that she loves to wear:
Annie with her security blanket sweater and the onrey look on her face:
My three little loves:

Easter bunny brought some good stuff, Jacob said, you know there isn't an Easter bunny because my sunglasses that came in my basket came from Gap...I don't think the Easter bunny shops at Gap, ha!
We dyed some eggs, Jacob worked extremely hard to perfect his egg, while the girls were all about quantity:
We did learn that this one loves to eat boiled eggs.  She tried the first one before I could stop her and bit right through the shell and started chewing it up.  She said it tasted like candy, after I made her spit it out she decided she liked to eat them without the shells even better.  I think she sat and ate 4!

Perfection:

A close up of Jacob's egg:
Annie and her buddy Emerson had their school Easter egg party and hunt at school last week...the girls did pretty well!
Annie's Easter Egg Hunt at school...she's learned to get them fast!

The Loot!
I also learned that Annie wants to "Drive a truck and sell ice cream" when she grows up...not a bad profession!
We had our egg hunt with some friends on Good Friday, it was a perfect day outside before hitting Good Friday Easter service and dinner with friends...

With their candy:
We spent the morning of Good Friday at Jason's while Brian worked.  The kids swam, had lunch, and had a great time...I didn't dare get in the water yet...they were much braver than I!

Had to take a picture of the aftermath after our family ate 12 donuts in about 4 minutes...wow, can't imagine what feeding a family of 5 will be like when the kids are in high school!
A true Daddy's girl!
I'm taking advantage of my days with Annie, this past week we had breakfast out together, colored, did some flash cards, and then we met some friends for a play date.
Everyone needed new tennis shoes...hopefully these last us until August, ha!
We attempted an Easter family selfie:
This one was tired out after a play date with Davis where she ran around with him chasing him with a fake sword!

Jacob's baseball picture:
Family bike riding on Sunday was fun super fun...gotta start trying to get Annie to ride without training wheels, but in the mean time she is loving riding with her Daddy:

Bike ride ended up taking us to Taco Cabana for lunch:
I love my Gwyn and her sweet little notes.  We just got word that some of her artwork from school will be displayed at Barnes and Noble in May, so I will be posting pictures of that pretty soon, how awesome is that!!

Springtime is FUN time!

Sweet little third child Annie got a special trip to the zoo with friends today.  It was a great day, a little chilly and windy but the animals were out and her favorite animals were of course the giraffes!  What is a Texas zoo without some good ole Longhorns??
Such a sweet girl, we went with two other girls and 5 boys who will all be going to pre-k at RCE next year, so fun!  I'm trying to take advantage of the few days I have left with Annie before summertime and then her going to school next Fall...I'm sad just thinking about it!
Jason got quite a few great pictures of Gwyn at her game last weekend, love my little left handed girl:

You can tell that she is her Dad's daughter...chewing her finger nails while playing third base:

A couple of good pictures of Jacob, they have to wear those masks when playing pitcher:

I had my day in the sun last week when I did science experiments in Gwyn's classroom...I was a hit!

Jacob and Gwyn helped me test things out at home the night before:

We went to see Julie's sweet kids in the play Peter Pan, Lauren was Peter Pan!
I had to youtube how to make those little fortune tellers that Jacob is into right now, I can remember making them when I was little, how fun!
We are wearing Annie plum out these days!
Gwyn sporting her new rainbow loom cuff bracelet that Brian made her:
He made one for both of them, then admitted that each one of them took him two hours.  I told him if he needed something productive to do around the house, I would gladly make a list for him!
Gwyn with two of her sweet friends at a ice skating birthday party that has been the talk around the house now for a month, she was so excited and told everyone she knew how.  I said you don't know how, to which she said yes, she has done it before in Colorado last summer.  I guess because she had done it once means she is an expert and I was actually shocked at how well she did!
Apparently those roller blades actually help at something, I couldn't believe she did so well ice skating:
We signed up for swim team!  Finally an activity where all three of my kiddos are on the same team and practice at the same time!  Annie is so pumped to be on Jacob's team at something, and absolutely LOVES her swim cap, she looks so stinking cute!

Funny things the kids said this week:
Jacob:  Mommy, I don't really get when they say 1970 something or 1800 something, what does that even mean?  HA!! He's a kid born in 2006 for sure!
