Daddy Daughter Dance / Field Trip / Baseball

April seems to fly by every year...lots of activities and lots of fun!  Brian and Gwyn attended the Daddy-Daughter dance put on by Girl Scouts, complete with a fancy dinner at Flemings before...this girl is spoiled!  She had a ton of fun, danced the entire time, and at one point told Brian she wanted to dance with her friend, and suggested that Brian dance with her friends Dad, ha!  Needless to say, that didn't happen!
I went on Annie's field trip to the bird and nature sanctuary in our neighborhood, she loved it.  It was absolutely the most humid and muggiest day of the year, all the parents were drenched in sweat.
Here she is catching some little minnows...a girl in her class fell in right after I took this picture, and right after a snake swam by!  They saw turtles, fish, squirrels, birds, and a snake...such fun!

Gwyn had three little friends in an Alice and Wonderland play in Katy, the girls got dressed up and had a great time, we went to dinner with friends before, and Annie was super excited since she got a new skirt...poor girls gets all of Gwyn's hand me downs and no new clothes of her own!

 Sweet friends:

Annie went to a school auction party, it was a tea party, and she had a fun time, she likes to be fancy!
Happy to report that the preK art car is getting plenty of use with drive in movies at our house.
Annie and her matching minion pajamas that Emerson has...she's waiting for her sleepover!
This girl, beautiful, love her to the core!
Can't have a post in April without some baseball or softball...here are three videos of Jacob's two recent tournaments...he is legit with his turf shoes now!

And here is one of him pitching:

Annie to Brian this week:  Don't forget me at the party, come pick me up.
Brian:  Have I ever forgotten about you?
Annie: Yes.
Brian:  Well, recently??

Annie's Art Car Parade and Easter

The PreK Art Car Parade was a sight to see...so many weeks of preparation, hours of planning, and countless days of executing what will for sure be one of the most talked about cars for years to come. Most everyone else had a decorated card board box...not Annie, Brian had different plans for his special little girl...she wore it like a champ!

Proud of her car:

I told Brian what if she ended up being sick the day of, he was ready to wear it himself if that would have been the case, ha!

Two bests with their teacher...

The two dads in competition with each other...their proud little girls!
Counterweights applied to balance the load of the 24 double A batteries to power front, tail, and side lights.

A few pics from weeks before in prep...don't even ask how much money this cost:

Easter was a fun weekend, the kids were out of school for Good Friday, so we took advantage of the good weather and dyed some eggs with the neighbors!  Jacob with his one perfect egg, most kids were dying 6 or 7, he chose to perfect just one...his father's child:

Love these sweet kiddos:

Easter lunch with friends:

6 family egg hunt...a huge success!

Jacob's air horn made an appearance to stage out the hunters by age:

My cutie:
Getting ready for swim team!

She eats ribs to the bone, cleans them better than anyone I've ever seen:
I love her family pics:

Annie's book came home from school, I can't get enough of her writing and drawing:

She says, "I like the squirrel in the street."  There was a dead one in front of our house that she drew for this picture, ha!

Funny things the kids said this week:

Jacob while ordering at Chilis:  I'll take a rack of ribs with a side of corn dog.
Annie while we are eating kolaches:  Remember when I barfed up a kolache.
