Living the Life

I borrowed Jason's camera for a couple of days and got some cute pictures of the kids.  They are growing up too fast, can't believe Gwyn will be 7 in just a couple of weeks.  We are getting back into the groove of school and winter activities, Annie and Gwyn are doing gymnastics at the same time, Gwyn is playing basketball and continuing her jazz / hip-hop class and Girl Scouts, Jacob is gearing up for Spring baseball and playing basketball...oh and they all also go to school, ha!  Poor Jacob has had 5 days of testing in the last 7 days of school, he's ready for a break again!
These girls are loving each other so much lately, they can't get enough of each other, I'm loving their bond!

 More sister pictures:

While cleaning out some cabinets I found three crafts where you draw a picture and you send it off to get it put on a plate...I think I got these for the kids last Christmas.  The kids had fun and the plates came in the mail this week...new favorite plates that can't get washed fast enough to have them with the next meal!

 Buddies:
 This one...goodness!
Gwyn doing the pose that Jacob does in all of her photos, look at how Annie is standing, ha!
Brought back some memories when I got a winter coat out (since it went as low as 40 here one day), and in the pocket I found this baby pacifier...it was from a very long time ago, but Annie had fun playing with it for a little while, ha!

Craft time, make your own necklaces!!
Or headbands if you are Gwyn...loved hers!

We brought out the sponge rollers again, the girls love them!

Jacob requested fried chicken for dinner, after eating three legs, he still didn't get enough so went to work on a breast...what will I be feeding him when he is 15???
 Loved Annie's snowman, ha!
Gwyn's writing journal came home from school, love that she wrote a story about her brother:

Too funny not to share, I asked Annie where Daddy was since he was missing from the picture (she is upstairs in her room), she just said, "I ran out of time."  Sorry Daddy, we'll catch you next time, ha!
Funny things the kids said this week:
Jacob:  How do you stand up to a bully without being a bully? (good question)
Annie describing a little girl on the bus:  She talked sassy! (seriously, you don't want to mess with a little girl who already has her teeth knocked out, she's got nothing to lose, ha!)

Here We Go 2015!

We had a slow cold start to 2015!  The weather was rainy and cold between Christmas and New Years, so we enjoyed staying in and having some quality family time.  We are getting back in the groove with school back in session and both Jacob and Gwyn have started basketball...the Warriors and the Fruit Hoops.  Pictures to come next week, the first games went really well, Gwyn and Jacob both scored 10 points each in their games.  Jacob had a VIP poster to prepare for school the first week back, so we got pictures printed off and he put the whole thing together himself, I think it looked awesome!

Brian undertook building us a new cabinet that housed all of our dishes and glasses that had come off the wall and dropped 8", thankfully nothing was broken as the doors jammed everything inside.  What does that say about us that in our garage we had everything you needed to build an entire cabinet?  Jason stopped and picked up some wood glue, but aside  from that, he had everything he needed.  Jacob was a big help!
The kids and I went on a few very cold scooter rides while Brian was working:)

 Free manual labor!
 It looks awesome!
I painted it, it took 3 coats of paint!
We opted to leave the doors off for now, we will see if we add them in the future.
I helped with Gwyn's Girl Scout troop the  first week back at school, Annie loved getting to stay after school and go.  She said,  I want to be a Daisy!  Next year, Annie, next year!
Jacob's desk finally arrived, Brian had to put it together after I put a piece on it upside down...he then forbid me from ever buying anything at Walmart again, ha!
Annie got caterpillars for Christmas and so far 3 of the 4 have become butterflies!  It has been pretty cool to watch them.  She has named them Pete, Rudolph (you can call him Rudy), and Ship Shap Shack.

Gwyn and Annie both won awards for their Visual Arts drawings for "The World Would Be a Better Place If."  Jacob says he so would have beat them, but he was in the 3rd - 5th category which was a little tougher than the peek-2nd, ha!
Jacob made the local Memorial magazine!
How bad can your day ever be, when you get a note like this from my Annie!
