Great Grandpa came to visit from St. Louis. It was a hot one the weekend he was here, but he did get to see Gwyn play a soccer game, and also go to church when she received her Bible. Here he is cooling out in his shades with Jacob at the soccer fields:

Annie also obsessed with getting to play Sumdog, a math game on the computer that requires a log in from the school and she finally has her own! Jacob and Gwyn have both been doing it for years, she has arrived!

Brian has decided to relocate our pool equipment himself before our remodel / addition starts...he's got Jacob who is pretty cheap labor, he works for a steak dinner!
Going through pictures for the 5th grade yearbook, here are just two of many that made me want to cry...his little chubby fingers and big smile. I can't believe he will be going to Middle School next year!
School, homework and actviites are ramping up for the Fall, but until next weekend, we are enjoying some weekends free from activities. Gwyn and Annie have started soccer, and Jacob is doing Fall baseball with a little basketball as well. Gwyn has been wanting to go to a Dash game, the Houston women's pro soccer team. We got tickets last minute and they were playing the Orlando Pride, a team that has Alex Morgan...olympic star and pretty much most famous female soccer player. We got great seats, or so we thought, 2nd row, right behind the goal. In a very badly timed moment, I snapped this family selfie at the exact time Gwyn took a missed goal to the chest. So sad, she got the wind knocked out of her but was okay, and continued to cheer on the Dash to a win!
