This is our first week back to school after a much needed and very fun Spring Break. Brian took off work, and we were able to hang out all week with the whole family. We jam packed it in with lazy mornings and at least one really fun thing a day...the night before school started, I put the kids to bed at 7:30 pm and then had to wake them all up at 7:05 am the next morning, that is how I knew for my 6 am early risers that they needed a good nights sleep. We had several late nights out having fun and living it up without any HOMEWORK!!! These pictures were from the strawberry patch, we ended up with lots of good berries!
Brian took his time and selected only top shelf strawberries, where Annie filled hers up within 5 minutes, she's a picking machine!
Brian's select berries:
Jacob was like his Dad, only picked out the best ones:
My sweet Gwyn, her bucket was overflowing:
Annie at least learned this year not to pick the green ones!
The girls and I all had haircuts and pedicures, a fun day at the "mommy" place instead of the little kid haircut place as Annie said, and both chose to cut their hair off, it looks SO cute!
We took the kids to the Rodeo, which is a HUGE carnival, livestock show, then an actual rodeo (the apparent highest paying one in the country), and then watched Blake Shelton...the kids could have cared less about the concert, they liked the rodeo! Annie did have fun dancing:)
City girls getting to sit on a tractor!
An awesome lunch at the Chicago pizzeria with Jason:
Rockets game with Jason, the kids loved it, both got to bring a friend and of course, THEY MADE THE JUMOTRON!
Sweet sisters:
We took Brian to Top Golf for the first time, he liked it, even though I beat him the first game, ha! Jason actually came in first, but I was second! The kids had fun and Jacob is actually pretty good!
Lots of craft time, Annie hung this up on her wall in her room all by herself...with tape, it will probably never come off!
A very nice dinner out with just us and the kids, this is Jacob licking his ice cream bowl clean at Capital Grille, ha!
Brian has Annie's Art Car under construction, so we took a trip to the art supply store downtown so Brian could get his supplies, Annie is going to be rocking the most awesome art car next week and believe me, it will have it's own blog post! It is going to be EPIC...she doesn't even know how cool of a Dad she has:)
Jacob and Brian are set up for pitching practice in the easement by our house, complete with Brian a new catchers mitt and backstop!
Had a very fun kickball game with about 15 kids, several families that were left in Houston that actually didn't go to the beach or skiing, we had our own fun!
Love my Annie, she found Gwyn's old Jordan's that fit her perfectly now:)
Before school was out, Gwyn performed in the first grade play, How Does Your Garden Grow? So sweet, and I had worked on it for about 6 weeks before that teaching dances, costumes, etc.
Gwyn during her speaking part:
Here are a couple of videos:
Gwyn and our sweet neighbor had their class pets together and had their own playdate:
