Top 50 Things of 2018

We enjoyed making a year of memories with our kids in 2018...here are the top 50 things:

1. Watching Jacob play for the Ducks, Gwyn play for the Fire, and Annie play for the Suns during the 2018 Basketball season.
2. A snow day in January with the kids getting the day off for the light dusting we got!
3. Go Texan Day at RCE.
4. One of the best vacations ever, driving to Big Bend for hiking, then driving to Angel Fire New Mexico for 3 days of skiing with the Rushings.
5. Easter brunch with our family and Mom, Dad and Jason at Capital Grille.
6. Lots of days of roller blading around the neighborhood for the girls, lots of days of playing wiffle ball in the easement for Jacob and his buddies.
7. The Pink concert with Jason.
8. Doing Field Day at RCE.
9. Saying good-bye to Ms. Bacon at RCE, saying good-bye to the Kulkas and the Sullivans.
10. Boogie Down Brittmoore!
11. Summer days of non-stop fun of swimming in the pool.
12. Typhoon Texas…one and done for the summer!
13. July 4^tha rainy day followed by the slashing of my leg by taking out the trash and 7 large stitches.
14. End of summer Crystal Beach / Galveston trip with the Rushings.
15. Labor Day soccer fun and a quick visit from Kelly and Isabel.
16. Gwyn as a barista, Annie as a disco girl, and Jacob as a middle school non-participating kid for Halloween.
17. Visiting Emily’s family in Dallas and going to the TCU vs OSU football game.
18. Watching Jacob pitch and catch for the 12U Spartans.
19. Jacob driving the tractor at Guthrie, helping Brian prep the fields for his sisters.
20. Jacob getting Baptized and going through Confirmation at MDUMC.
21. Celebrating Jacob’s 12^thbirthday with an Escape Room.
22. Jacob and Brian’s awesome trip to Aspen/Snowmass in June, hiking, fly fishing, bonding!
23. Jacob getting some dog watching jobs for some cheddar.
24. Jacob catching redfish at the Gilbert’s Bay House.
25. Dance Club (cotillion) for Jacob in 7^thgrade.
26. Watching Jacob play MMS football and basketball.
27. Biking to Taco Cabana on a regular basis for some food with buddies.
28. Gwyn’s 10^thBirthday scavenger hunt, games, and fun.
29. Coaching Gwyn’s Bombers 10U team and watching Gwyn become a pitcher!
30. Gwyn being Safety Patrol at RCE and a member of KRCE.
31. Gwyn’s Heat season, learning to hit off of good pitchers.
32. Gwyn’s first volleyball season at MDUMC.
33. TFC Orange 08 soccer season for Gwyn.
34. Amazing NYC trip with Gwyn in June and a quick stop in Cleveland to see Isabel!
35. Gwyn’s jazz dance recital.
36. Gwyn starting her last year at RCE a s a 5^thgrader!
37. Taylor Swift concert with Gwyn, Danielle and Avery.
38. Coaching Annie’s 8U Smash team, watching her get several double plays!
39. Annie moving into her own room in our house!
40. Annie playing a LadyBug in the Bugz Play at RCE.
41. Annie hitting dingers for the Smash.
42. Annie’s Heat season, catching fly balls in Left Field.
43. Annie and Brian’s little garden that could barely grow anything except Basil!
44. Watching Annie score countless goals on the Green Thunder.
45. Annie getting a hedgehog named Pepper for her birthday.
46. Annie’s obstacle course birthday party for her 9^thbirthday.
47. Seeing Annie’s amazing art pieces she created in her Fall Art Class.
48. Brian’s company merging with CB&I and a year of a lot of work travel for Brian…Brazil and Mexico…2019 is going to be some great vacations for our family with our airline miles!
49. Brian a watchdog for the first time in April, and for the second time in October!
50. Running the 10K in Gruene with a great group of friends…finishing the race going up the BIG HILL and a quick trip to Round Top!
