It has been an exhausting but fun few weeks of summer with all three kids doing the neighborhood swim team. Annie is a half-lapper, meaning she only swims at home meets and with a teen helper. Gwyn swims 6 and under and swims freestyle, freestyle relay, and backstroke. Jacob being in 8U swims all four strokes and relays...it has been a good experience for him, as he is learning to deal with losing:)
Swimming against his buddy Day at the Wilchester meet:
I loved how Gwyn had drawn all over Annie, and she was loving it. You usually write their races, heats, and lanes on their arms, and Brian will draw a Piranha on the back...Gwyn wrote "Eat My Bubbles" and "I love Plaza Oaks" on Annie's legs, she thought she was hot stuff.

Getting ready:
One step closer:
Swimmers, take your mark!
The artist at work:
Swimmers take your mark!
A blue ribbon, the second time she got a 5th place and like her brother, I think wanted to throw it away, where Gwyn likes to get pink ones, ha!
Gwyn and her sweet friends:
Swimming Memorial Bend against Tyler and Sam:
A field trip to Mam's snowballs, a must do in the summer...heaven, a snow cone with condensed milk poured on top, yummy!
Sweet girls on their way to watch Jacob's last baseball tournament:
A visit to Half Priced Books for some summer reading materials!
This one went from swim team practice in the morning to a little ballet camp for an hour and a half, which she LOVED!
How could we not start the summer with a lemonade stand!
It became boys vs girls, with Jacob and his friends putting together trying to sell old baseball card sets (I mean, who needs any baseball cards if it isn't a Cardinal's player, right?):
I had a very quick weekend trip to Lake McQueeny, it was a very relaxing get-a-way with 8 very awesome moms!
The girls thought they were so cool to be able to make their own lipstick with a red snowcone:
Funny things the kids said this week:
Jacob: I tried to give Gwyn some 7up, but she said she couldn't have it because she isn't 7 years old, you have to be 7 years old and up to drink it.
