Dad's night is the best night EVER!

It was Dad's night this past week at Jacob and Gwyn's preschool.  Brian and Gwyn went together on Wednesday night and then Brian and Jacob went together on Thursday night.  Both nights consisted of pizza, apples, juice, and cookies, which were followed up with a craft and time in their classrooms with their  teachers and fellow students and their dads.  Jacob really did say, "Dad's night is the best night EVER!"  He had a great time.  His night consisted of Dinosaurs and Dad's, he was super proud to bring his Dad and Brian said he smiled ear to ear and didn't want to leave.  Gwyn was a little chatterbox on the way to school and from school, but when she was there she was quiet.  She did have a good time, and did raise her hand to recommend they all sing the ABC song during the circle time in her classroom, and when her teacher said she wanted the kids and Dads to sing her favorite song, Gwyn shouted out, "Baby Jesus!" and her teacher said, "you're right Gwyn, you know what my favorite song is."  Gwyn had fun too, but Jacob especially did, they have been talking about Dad's night coming up for at least a month and they had been putting together their dinosaur homes and making ties in preparation for it.  Brian had a great time too.  Gwyn got dressed up and made Brian that tie and a little water bottle with glitter in it, that she wanted to play with non-stop for about 3 days straight.
Jacob said his Dad's name was Brian, that he was 41 years old, that his favorite thing to do with him was to play Batman, that when he goes to work he works with stuff, that when he watches television he watches people shows, that his favorite thing to eat is chicken and noodles, and that Brian is special because he plays with him.  Love that little boy!
Jacob did sorting of their dinosaur eggs (jelly beans), he loves to sort by color, shape, size.  They then counted them out and graphed it.  Jacob saved 3 jelly beans to take home for me, so sweet!
We were all getting over some allergies this week.  The weather has been great, but everyone seemed to get a little runny nose this week, including Gwyn, which had to get about 6 breathing treatments.  After I did one in the morning, we were taking Jacob to school and she said, “Mommy, you didn’t do it right.  I just coughed a little bit.”  When I responded that I guess we would have to do another breathing treatment when we got home, then I think she realized she had better stick to telling on her brother and sister rather than her mommy!

Artwork from school this week has been focused on snowmen.  Gwyn made this cute little snowman that she told me that she made for me when I picked her up, and then she told Brian that she made it for him when he came home from work.  She has been doing this with several things she has made the past few weeks, I think she is figuring out how to work us!  It was letter R this week, so Jacob brought a rhinoceros for show and tell and cut out pictures of a girl reading, a ribbon, a ruler, and a rocket for his letter book.
 Gwyn's snow man:
With the weather being so nice we were outside quite a bit this week.  We went to the park a few times, Brian has been taking at least Jacob and Gwyn up to the park by himself on the weekends while I stay home with Annie.  Annie is getting VERY high maintenance at the park.  She wants to be climbing stairs, going down slides, etc., but you can’t trust her to do most of it without help, so I find I’m mainly chasing her up the stairs bringing her down and then back again!  The kids have now taken to playing outside in dress up clothes as well:
 Batman on his scooter:
Sweet little Annie is getting so big, she loves this car and gets very upset if anyone tries to play with it without her.
After about 4 weeks in a row of trying to secure our babysitter for one night for a date night, Brian and I finally were able to go out to dinner and to coffee on Saturday night, and we were able to catch up with Jason since he’s been MIA for the past few weeks!  Brian is still playing volleyball at church on Sundays.  It was funny this Sunday because as Brian and I are walking around after Sunday school, people would be stopping to talk to him and make sure he was going to make it to volleyball.  One person even stopped to tell me how awesome he is, but we already knew that!

Jacob is big into all things Star Wars.  We went to Barnes and Noble this weekend and they have these $3 paperback books, so we let the kids each pick one.  Gwyn wanted to get at least 5, one was even a Dora Snow Princess book she already had at home, but she said that she needed a new one since Annie chewed the cover off of hers at home.  We told her no, just one, so she ended up with a Fancy Nancy (or as she calls it, Fancy Fancy book).  Jacob was on a mission to find a Star Wars book, and he was so excited he could hardly contain himself.  Unfortunately for us, it was a level 4 reader which mean it was VERY long.  In the 2 hours we had in between the time we got back from the book store until the time our babysitter got there, Brian had read it once, I had read it once, and he even tried to pick it for the book that Savannah (Gwyn used to call her Banana, but now it is Sabannah) would read to him before bed, but Brian and I had him select two short books instead.  Gwyn also knows more than me about Princess Leia and Princess Padma.  The kids have some great conversations with each other about Star Wars, princess, movies, their friends, which friends will come to their birthday parties (even though Jacob's is months away), letters, numbers, etc.  I loaded this application on my phone called Talking Tom, and it is this cat that repeats what you say and the kids LOVE it.  Here they are letting Annie have a turn:

Here is a shout out to my Dad who's birthday is tomorrow, Happy Birthday Dad, we love you!

I also had Jacob's conference with his teacher this week.  I was so proud to be his mom.  He is doing so well with everything, his letters (upper and lower case), letter sounds, counting, math, social, developmental, physical, hand eye coordination, fine motor, gross motor, behavior, etc.  He pays attention, plays well with others, does what he is told, helps clean up, etc.  He is such a sweet kid who is ready to go to Kindergarten next year!!  Brian and I are lucky to be his parents, he's such a good kid!

Annie Bananie is into everything as is evident from this video of her repeating some words after partly destroying the house while Jacob and Gwyn were in school one day, she also digs through the trash.  This week she had pulled out this giant drink with a straw and was walking around sucking it down:

Here is another video from the kids playing outside:

Funny things the kids said this week:

Jacob to Brian when they were playing catch with a football and standing about 10 ft apart:  Go long Daddy!
Jacob to me:  When I learn how to read, I’m going to read you a book before you go to bed.
Gwyn:  At Halloween, I don’t want to go to that scary house. (she said this about 10 times this week)
Gwyn to Brian:  One day can we go to dinner and dress up like movie stars like Fancy Fancy?  (after reading a Fancy Nancy book where her family did the same).
Brian:  Yes, we can do that, but we’ll all need big sunglasses.
Jacob as he is showing me a star wars figurine:  Do you know who this is?
Gwyn (before I could answer):  He is Jedi Master.
Jacob:  No, he isn’t.  He is a Jedi Master, but that is not his name.  His name is Snobi one kanobi
Gwyn:  Yes, he is Jedi Master (seriously Brian is brain washing these kids!)
Gwyn:  Old Mother Gothel is not Rapunzel’s mother, she lied to her and that is bad (another random comment made at least 20 times this week).

A Weekend with Olive and Daisy

We had an eventful weekend babysitting Jacob and Gwyn’s school pet guinea pigs, Olive and Daisy.  The kids LOVED having them here, were fascinated with them, and loved to help feed them.  They got to eat one orange per day, a carrot per day (as a treat), and had some little pellet food as well as some hay.  They also drank a ton of water.  They were relatively low maintenance, and I’m glad we had them for the weekend.  Jacob didn’t want to take them back, but I told him that another family already signed up to take them after us.  He understood, and managed to squeeze another carrot out of me for both of them the last day.  This is pretty much how they were all weekend, and they were constantly "checking" on them for us.

Here is a video of them feeding Olive and Daisy an orange:

The kids also love Dr Seuss, and have been asking to make Green Eggs and Ham for awhile.  Brian jumped on this, since if you didn’t know, one of his many talents* he wooed me with while we were dating was his ability to recite the entire book (he can still do this, and I’m still impressed since it is 60 something pages long!).   Brian I think used an entire bottle of green food coloring, and the kids were pretty impressed, but a little weary about eating green meat.  Annie had no complaints, and Gwyn liked it.  It took a little more convincing for Jacob, but then he said, “Hey, this just tastes like regular old meat!”

*I just thought I would mention other notable talents being that 1) he drove a convertible 2) he owned 6 businesses, complete with printed business cards (although he had no clients) 3) he had won a couple of coveted OSU intramural championship t-shirts for bowling and volleyball 4) he rode a bike to class (this was before it was cool to be “green” and reduce your carbon footprint by biking) 5) he was handy at making things like bowling pin tables

The kids were out of school for MLK day, and then back in school the rest of the week (which is only 1 day for Gwyn).  The weather was great, so we met some friends at the park, and had a couple of play dates at the house this week.  I was able to visit my friend Christina, who has recently moved into a new HUGE house.  She's having her second boy at the end of March and they are getting prepared for the new baby.  I know I'm growing up, when the one thing I was jealous of was the laundry room!  I also have great news in that our friends with twins the same age as Gwyn have a contract on the house across the street.  I'm seriously SO excited about this.  Gwyn will go to the same preschool as their kids, and it will be so nice to have someone right across the street to play with and to help each other out.  What a blessing!  Here are a few pictures of the kids this week.  Annie into everything she can get her hands onto...now she takes individual napkins and rips them into shreds too, it is really fun to clean up!
Gwyn who has refused to nap since the time she was 2 or so, gets exhausted and I find her about once / week somewhere around the house like this:
Jacob just loves his little sisters, he is such a good big brother, and Annie and Gwyn are lucky to have him.
 Funny face Gwyn:
Funny face Jacob (Brian can also do this one very well):
 Best Friends for Life:
Making hot chocolate, or really luke warm chocolate, that turned into just dipping marshmallows into chocolate and eating them...it was a mess!
Annie makes a break for the garage, anytime I go in there.  She loves getting the cars and ride on toys out.  If I go out for just a second to switch some laundry or get something out of the refrigerator, she's right on my heels and before I turn around across the garage and sitting in a car.  And DO NOT go outside and then close the door, she gets very upset!

Little Annie the destroyer turned 15 months on the 20th!  I can't believe she is growing up so fast, and while I'm really sick of cleaning up countless napkins, paper plates, straws, Ziploc bags, Tupperware, shoes, pretty much anything you can name that she gets her hands on and strings all over the house, multiple times per day, I do realize how fast time is flying by and how soon she'll be growing up and having conversations with me and not be my little baby anymore.  Here she is at 15 months:
 Jacob @ 15 months:
 Gwyn @ 15 months:
I took Jacob and Gwyn to the movies on Saturday, and Brian got some rare one on one time with Annie.  They had a great time, they went and had a snack at Smashburger (she loves hot dogs and milk shakes), and then they went to a little combo coffee/flower shop.  Brian had fun with her, and told me she didn't miss me at all:(  She does love her Daddy, and was apparently very friendly to everyone smiling, waving, saying hi and laughing.  They did pick me up something very sweet:
Brian has another talent that he has been perfecting since Gwyn could talk.  He is up, and I do mean he is UP on all his princess knowledge.  That is important for a Dad of little girls to know things about princesses, and seriously, ask him anything about Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty (who's real name is Aurora, but goes by Brier Rose while in hiding - yes, I learned that from him!).  It is quite impressive.

Funny things the kids said this week:
Me to Gwyn:  How old are you going to be on your birthday?
Gwyn: 20,000
Jacob:  You’re not gonna be 20,000, that’s like an old woman.
Gwyn to Me:  You don’t have big muscles to lift a car.
Me:  You’re right.
Gwyn:  We can help you lift a car.
Me: Why would we want to lift a car.
Jacob:  To put it in the dump. (Brian used to say on several occasions that he was going to take my old car to the dump, apparently, they do listen…sometimes.)
Me to Gwyn:  Do you know who shares your birthday with you?
Gwyn:  Jesus
Me:  No, not quite, it is Nana.
Jacob to Brian:  Did God make everything?
Brian:  Yes, and do you know how long it took for him to do it?
Jacob: No, how long?
Brian:  6 days.
Jacob (after he counts out six fingers):  Wow, I REALLY love God.
Brian:  And do you know what he did on the 7th, he rested because it takes a lot of work to make everything.
Jacob:  Ya, it was hard work.
Me to Jacob:  Look at this Hello Kitty dress I got Gwyn for her birthday, do you think she will like it?
Jacob:  No
Me to Jacob:  I love you.
Jacob to Me:  I love you sweetie pie.
Me to Gwyn:  How was school today, did you have fun?
Gwyn:  Camilla just came right up and pushed me.
Me:  That was not nice, did the teacher see, did she get in trouble.
Gwyn:  No.
Me:  Did you do something to her?
Gwyn:  No, I didn't do any bad stuff.  I just pushed her, and then Camilla came up and pushed on the back.  (After about 10 minutes of discussing this, it seems Gwyn was pushing Mailee in a car, and then Camilla came and pushed Gwyn on the back, and yes, her teacher saw her do it and told Gwyn she was sorry, but Gwyn likes to tattle tell, just like her big brother taught her).

Annie's got the chicken pops

This kid is too cool for school:  Star Wars pillow, Toy Story 3 flashlight, Dr Seuss Green Eggs and Ham pajamas, and light up sketchers.  Seriously, he's the coolest kid I know!  As you can see, Jacob had pajama day at school last week (which has been hyped up for the past month), and he was super excited.  His teacher told him to just come in their pajamas when they wake up, but Jacob wanted to pick his pajamas out and set them out to put on first thing that morning.  This was a special day, and he didn't want to wear any old slept in clothes.

Okay, I do need to clarify the title of the blog.  Annie does not have the chicken pox (the kids call them pops), but we have been talking about them a lot around here.  Annie had an allergic reaction to amoxacillan, the antibiotic she took to get rid of a month long sinus infection.  She basically just broke out in all these red dots, and since I have watched numerous shows with doctors on them, I immediately self-diagnosed it as chicken pox, called the Dr and went in.  I then found out about the allergic reaction (which didn't cross my mind since she was on the last day, day 10, of her antibiotics).  They ushered us through a special door, I got right in, and they had two doctors take a look to confirm.  She has been vaccinated for chicken pox, but she got the vaccine in October, and sometimes it takes awhile to go into full effect.  Nevertheless, the kids got wind of my emotional "freak out" at home before I took Annie to the doctor and have been telling everyone that Annie has the chicken pox, which leads me to immediately explain that she does not to all the parents around.  Jacob then made up a song, "Annie's got the chicken pops, from those red dots."  This song of course, called for some major explanations that yes, she had red dots, but not from chicken pops, pox, I mean.

We have had an eventful week.  Rick was in for a couple of nights for work, and the kids had a great time hanging out with their Grandpa.  We had some friends over for a play date from church, they have twins Gwyn's age, and we are hoping they buy the house across the street from us (they looked at it this week, and it would be so nice to have someone directly across the street with young kids).  We were able to hangout with Jason a bit, Annie and I went to a breakfast group with my group of friends, we went to Carter and Cole's birthday parties, and Brian has started back to playing volleyball at church.  They took a couple of months off for the holidays, but they are back at it.  Brian is pretty good at volleyball, and he has a lot of fun playing every week.  It was W week at school, and since Jacob has been learning his letter sounds we have heard a lot of wha wha wha in front of random words that start with w.  He is learning so much, so quickly it is really amazing.

Jacob and Gwyn both have Dad's night next week at school, and they have been busy in their classes preparing something very special.  Brian will get to go with Gwyn next Wednesday night, and then with Jacob on Thursday night.  Jacob is pretty excited, but was a little disappointed when he asked Brian how old he was and he said 33.  Jacob said he told his teacher 41.  Brian said it is okay, not to worry about it. I told Jacob that he and I would talk before the Mother's Day Tea.

The kids are such big helpers and have been wanting to "help" me with everything.  From cooking to cleaning to laundry to carrying in groceries.  They are both wanting to do so much, so I surprised them last week by letting them make cupcakes.  Red velvet cupcakes.  They really liked them because they looked like blood.  I think their hands and faces were stained for two full days.  Jacob's teacher at school was joking with him and told him she snuck into our house last night and got some Bugles and strawberries (Jacob had brought those in his lunch the day before, and that day his teacher brought the same thing).  Jacob said, "well we had cupcakes too and you didn't get those!"

The kids were out of school today for Martin Luther King day, so I met up with a few friends at Chuck E Cheese.  The kids had a great time, but much to Jacob's disappointment and to Gwyn's relief, Chuck E was a no show.  They discussed on the way home where he might have been.  Jacob said maybe he had a meeting or something.  Gwyn said maybe he had to go to work on his computer.  Jacob said maybe he was on vacation.  Gwyn said maybe he got sick.  Jacob said no, Chuck E doesn't get sick.  Gwyn said oh, yes, Chuck E doesn't get sick.  He must have had a meeting.

Here are the pictures I took for the week.  Gwyn got an early birthday present from Emily...a princess nightgown!
Jacob showing Gwyn how to work a program on the iPhone:
Popsicles are still our after dinner treat of choice around here:
Don't worry Annie gets her own now.  Check out how dirty her shirt is, no wonder I'm drowning in laundry!
Gwyn at Carter and Cole's party...she is so stinking cute!
Jacob with his pizza sandwich.  He's too proud of himself to eat pizza just like Daddy.  You take two pieces and put one on top of the other with their crusts on the outside.  He can put away the cheese pizza!
Sweet little Annie, she is finally growing some hair:
 Funny face Jacob:
 Funny face Gwyn:
Annie is obsessed with books.  Roxaboxen is her favorite.  She now brings books over to people and will turn around, sit in their lap, and really sit there while you read her the whole thing.  I guess she just wants to be like her big brother and big sister:
One of Jacob's photographs. Notice he isn't wearing matching socks.  He thinks this is cool and purposefully picks out different ones.  I liked this picture because it shows the jibbits on his Crocs...pretty much everything he is into:  Lighting McQueen, Wolverine, Batman and Buzz Lightyear.  All we are missing is some Star Wars.  He REALLY wants to know everything about Star Wars.  It is funny because he is so into these characters, but he doesn't watch any shows, he hasn't seen any movies, and hardly read any books with these superheros because I think they are a bit old for him (too violent).  I guess it tells you what great marketing is out there if these kids are obsessed with Superheros they only know through talking to each other!
Sweet sleeping Annie.  I love those pouty lips, those long eye lashes, and those soft full cheeks.  She's still such a little baby.  The other night after I finished washing dishes, I went upstairs where Brian had the kids playing in Gwyn's room and Annie got up from Brian and came and sat on my lap.  She had her shirt and her diaper on (this is normal since usually after dinner her pants are covered in food).  I just sat there and touched her soft legs.  I said to Brian have you felt her legs lately, they are so soft.  He told me yes, that he had just got finished squeezing them for like 10 minutes straight.  He was serious.  We love our baby girl!
I loved this outfit on Gwyn when she was Annie's age, and I tried my hardest to get a picture of her in it.  Of course, I couldn't get one of her looking at me, but I liked this picture because it emphasizes her cheeks!

Funny things the kids said this week:
Me to Annie as I see her going in mouth-opened towards Gwyn's leg:  Annie, don't bite.
Gwyn:  She isn't biting, she's just chewing on me.
Jacob when Gwyn was coloring a picture:  You are doing a great job Gwyn!
Gwyn (just about every single time she goes potty):  You are gonna be so proud of me.

Oh YEAH!

These kids make me laugh every single day.  They do however, do some crazy things (most of which I believe is stuff Brian did as a child, but somehow I'm getting paid back for it!).  I left them coloring for about 3 minutes, to step into the office and make a call about Gwyn's birthday party.  I came back to see they had each colored up themselves.  Gwyn said it felt funny on her skin, and was quite proud.  Jacob kept quiet, he knew better, so he'll let Gwyn spill her guts first.

The title of this blog is Oh YEAH! because I've been hearing that multiple times per day now for the past few weeks.  If you haven't seen the movie Despicable Me, then you need to watch it.  It is pretty funny and this guy says, "Oh YEAH!" all the time in it.

Jacob and Gwyn carry on very interesting conversations.  It is funny how Gwyn believes anything he says.  Mrs. Cox (their motor skills - gym teacher at school) was out today.  Gwyn said she must be sick.  Jacob said she probably had to go to the doctor.  Gwyn said she might have a frog in her throat.  Jacob said, it isn't a real frog, just sounds like a frog.  Gwyn said she might have chicken pops.  Jacob said it might be chickenitis.  Gwyn said yes, chickenitis.  So there ya go, we self diagnosed Mrs. Cox who was out for an unknown reason today with chickenitis.  They also were discussing whether fingernail polish was called snail polish (Jacob) or Santa polish (Gwyn??).  Who knows where they come up with this stuff?  Jacob also told Gwyn on the way to school the other day that he was going to call up the police and tell them they needed to arrest all little sisters named Gwyn.  This resulted in a loud whine and tattle tell that Jacob was going to get her arrested.  That kind of things goes on constantly.  Jacob is now telling Gwyn to stop tattling, and then of course turning it around and doing it himself.

We were getting back into the groove this week.  Since I wasn't able to find a time without all 3 kids to go to the grocery store, I ended up going at 5:45 am one morning to be there when they opened.  I walked in with three other people, the other three looked like they were going before work, I looked like I rolled out of bed and went, which I did, but I was on a mission to be back by 6:45 and get a shower in before Brian left for work.  I did get back by 7, but didn't get that shower.  When I got back home, Jacob came out to help me carry groceries in.  I asked him how long he had been up, and he told me "about 16 minutes."  We went to speech for Jacob twice in the last week.  We are getting him reevaluated to make sure he's where he needs to be since we'll be enrolling him for Kindergarten next week!  Gwyn was really upset and wanted to go to speech too.  I told her for $120/hr, she just doesn't get to go this time!  The kids are still so into books, we read constantly.  At night they each get to pick a book, and we've had to make several rules because they will want the same book for a week straight.  Jacob has also caught on and is now telling Gwyn to "put that one back and pick another one, that one is too short." Thanks Jacob, I'm exhausted.  He also is getting really smart at all the Dr Seuss books that are 60+ pages, sometimes I'll try to skip a page and he catches me every single time.  Thanks Jacob, I guess I know he's paying attention!  Our bedtime routine now is bath, books, story, favorite part of the day, and then prayers.  We were doing the part of our day that we didn't like the best, but that was usually an opportunity that Mommy and Daddy used to remind them of something they did that day that we need to work on (not sharing, saying something mean, not doing what they are told).  Jacob decided that he really didn't like this part.  We are also still telling stories before bed.  I find that it is easier for me to let them pick characters and now I tell them stories like Jacob is batman and Gwyn is Snow White.  Jacob really wants a bad guy in every story, so somewhere the Joker is usually popping up stealing a pacifier from baby snow white, or eating a mud pie that Belle and Wolverine made.  I told one the other night that Batman had a new two wheel scooter and Belle had a new three wheel scooter, and Gwyn said all excited, "just like me!"  Jacob is catching on, so I'll have to get a little more creative pretty soon.

Annie thinks she is big stuff these days.  She pretty much will attempt to repeat most words.  I was upstairs putting laundry away in the kids rooms, and I lost Annie (which is kind of hard to do since the gate was up on the stairs and she is usually about 2" from me at all times).  I found her inside the bathroom with the door shut (she is into shutting doors now).  She had climbed up the two steps on the step stool, gotten ahold of her tooth brush and she was just smiling at herself in the mirror like she was hot stuff.  She was pretty proud of herself.

The weather has been great.  We are outside all the time, here is a picture of the kids and Brian racing in the driveway:
Annie is always on the move:
Jacob picks all his clothes out, which I don't argue with since he can dress himself it is one less thing for me to have to worry about when we are headed out the door.  Here is on green day (he made this up), and it was yellow day one day last week too, but I didn't get a picture of that:
Here is Gwyn, who when I told her to say "cheese" she said no, I want to say, "I'm potty trained," so here is Gwyn saying "I'm potty trained!" She also wanted to call Brian at work to tell him she had pooped in the potty.  We tried calling and got a voice mail and hung up, but that wasn't good enough for Gwyn.  So, we called back and Gwyn left him a nice message yelling, "I pooped in the potty."  Let's hope he doesn't listen to his messages on speaker phone!

Here is a video of the kids playing outside:

Here is a sideways video of Annie jumping...you'd think I'd be able to figure out how to rotate the video, but no, so here you go:

Here are several different pictures of artwork from the kids.  They are really into coloring, stamping, stickers, etc. these days.  We go through stickers like crazy around here:
Jacob comes home and likes to talk about thee things he did at school.  The one in the upper left hand corner is from the book snow day, and he said that kid is about to hit the tree, so that all the snow falls off.  He also drew 2 extra people in the red picture, and he said those were his teachers.
Brian drew the family picture, but Jacob likes to go put letters on pictures and then have me find all the letters.  He said the letters are hiding and you have to find them.  He also is getting pretty good at his letters.
Jacob said his piggy went to the ball game:
Seriously, you should be impressed I made it home with the glue still dripping from Gwyn's rectangle collage.  Jacob drew a lady bug that was quite detailed too:

Funny things the kids said this week:
Gwyn:  Hold my pretzels Mommy, I gotta dance.
Gwyn to Annie:  Hello Buttercup.
Jacob (to Gwyn when she was going potty):  That's the spirit!
Gwyn:  That's enough Jacob.
Jacob after finding out it was snowing in Tulsa:  Why did we choose to live here where it doesn't snow?
Me to Jacob when Brian was getting ready for work:  Go tell Daddy he's handsome.
Me to Jacob after he comes back into the room:  Did you tell him?
Jacob:  No, he wasn't handsome yet.
Gwyn to Jacob after I called him bubba:  Is bubba your first name?
Jacob:  No, it is just a thing that little kids and babies call their brothers when they can't talk yet.
Jacob to Brian:  Can God see Tulsa?
Brian:  Yes, God can see everything.
Jacob (all excited):  Can God see the bat cave??? (Brian had earlier told him that no one knows where Batman's bat cave is).
Gwyn:  Mommy, let's play that I'm snow white, you are Belle, Jacob is Batman, Annie is baby snow white, and Daddy is prince charming.
Me: Sounds good Gwynnie Bear!
