And then she was 2!

And then our little baby girl was 2!  A few things that Annie is all about at 2:  playing with babies, she likes taking her diaper off, singing Justin beiber, eating spaghetti, watching Dora, playing with Jacob and Gwyn, eating icing (not cake), coloring scribble scrabbles with Jacob and Gwyn, requesting Mommy to sing songs about crazy things, swinging, fixing Daddy meals in her play kitchen.

We had a great weekend with Rick and Sue here, and had an awesome time celebrating Annie's birthday.  We had a family celebration on her actual birthday with the 5 of us, Jason, and Rick and Sue.  She started off the day with birthday candles at breakfast...sadly, I forgot to get donuts, Jacob and Gwyn were the only ones who really had a problem with it at first, but once they told Annie she should have had donuts, she looked at the candles in her granola bar and gave me a sad look like she got cheated, poor baby!
She did like blowing out the candles!
Brian made a Boots cake, and after Annie saw it if you asked her whose birthday it was she would say, "Boots!"
Annie loved her cake...well, at least the icing because that is all she eats!
 Say cheese little birthday girl!

Loving some shoulder riding time with Grandpa, she said, "I'm tall!"
What is better than getting to lick the bowl on your own birthday cake?!?
She loved to play with her new baby doll, she took extra care to get her blanket on just right, and feed her a bottle.
Gwyn was a bit jealous, but enjoyed playing with her new dolls, and showing Annie how to do everything to take care of them.
I took a few pictures of Annie on her actual birthday, here she is at 2!
 Saying CHEESE!
Loved this picture, for some reason every single time we go out the front door, she has to walk down across the landscaping and back.  Every. Single. Time.  Here she is on her mission:
We had her birthday party at The Little Gym on Saturday, and it was a huge success.  The people were fantastic, and all the kids had an awesome time.
We love us some sock monkeys!
Before the party, she is pretty excited (and on a sugar high having just come from Claire's birthday party!):
 Sweetest little girl!
Little monkey having fun, she ran around like crazy trying out everything.

It was a great day.  Annie had so much fun.  All the kids were exhausted, especially Annie who slept great that night and then took a 3 hour nap the next day!  Here are a few videos from the party:

Playing with Papaya, a toy that Jason got her:

Gwyn got her school pictures back, I loved them, her little eyes look so dark!
I had pictures of the kids taken together for Christmas cards this week, I can't wait to see them, although I snapped this one myself while we were waiting our turn...hopefully this isn't indicative of what we got, they were a little restless and acting crazy.
Jacob's writing is improving.  Brian now says that Jacob has surpassed my handwriting, and that we now have proof:
Jacob had a great week, he scored a goal at his soccer game!!  He was excited, but played it cool.  We also had his conference with his teacher this week.  He is doing so well, we are proud of him.  He is starting to sound out words for himself when he is writing them.  He wrote gros (for grows) the other day, and I was so proud because he wrote it exactly like it sounded.  His teacher says he is great to have in class, plays well with others, listens well, and is sweet.  He's progressing great with reading and writing, and loves math (future engineer we think, but when I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up this week he said a ninja!).  He also made my want to cry the other day when he came home and told me that he gave Thomas 3 tickets.  I asked him why he did that, and he said that Thomas had 7, so he knew that if he gave him his 3, then he would have 10 and then Thomas could cash them in that day for something (computer time, art time, ipod touch time, etc).  What an AWESOME kid!!

Some other fun news of this past week is that we went to the Fall Festival at Jacob’s school.  We have been counting down the days to this, and the kids were so excited.  We had a great time, we played games, ate dinner, walked around to see all the booths, got some prizes, and Jacob and Gwyn both got their hair spray painted.  Here is Gwyn going down a big slide "superfast:"

 Jacob's blue and green hair:
 Gwyn's pink hair:
That same day was Jacob’s field trip to Dewberry Farms.  I was one of 6 moms that went on the trip, I was assigned two other boys besides Jacob and I definitely had my hands full!  Jacob had a great time, here he is with his little pumpkin:

Here he is during an INTENSE duck race:
Feeding a goat (yuck!):
Sliding down a huge slide on a burlap sack:

Jacob had a soccer game last Saturday.  His little team is doing pretty well, they are one of the only teams that follow the rules and keep their two defensive player back past the mid-field line.  They won 1-0, and this week we were in charge of soccer snack.  Gatorade, cheese-its and Star Wars fruit snacks!  This week I also did another Handwriting without Tears lesson in Jacob's classroom.  Gwyn and Annie do quite well during the time, Gwyn loves to go to Kindergarten (to which Jacob corrects that she doesn't go to Kindergarten, she just visits).  Annie knows she gets full use of my phone while we are in there, and thank goodness they make you punch in your password before you purchase something...I'm always having to cancel out of things that say "please confirm your purchase of ..."

Annie is still a little destroyer, and has recently been taking her pants and diaper off in her crib before she yells out for someone to come get you.  That has been super fun.  I kid you not, she was able to do this on the dining room table in about 4 minutes:
Annie has such little hair, and it is so fine, so she hasn't worn any type of bows or hair accessories.  Gwyn wore a headband the other day, and then she finally wanted to wear one.  Here is Annie in a headband (yes, this is big news!):
Sweet little Gwynnie bear is just precious when she falls asleep.  Poor thing fell asleep sitting on my lap for only about 10 minutes before Annie woke up and I had to go get her:
Funny things the kids said this week:

Jacob:  Mommy, you don’t want to score on your own goal, because that would be giving the other team a point.
Gwyn (comes in as I'm getting out of the shower):  Mommy, Annie took off her diaper and is trying to change herself. (oh gosh!)
Me to Jacob:  Did you go to gym today?
Jacob (looking at me like I'm an idiot):  Gym, what's that??
Brian to Jacob:  Do you call it P.E.?
Jacob (looking at him like he's an idiot):  WHAT??
Jacob (after we explain what we mean):  That is called specials mommy. (saying it like we are complete idiots)
Annie (after Jacob smashed her hand):  Jacob not nice.  Annie nice.  Jacob not nice.
Gwyn:  Annie is doing mean stuff to me all day long.
Gwyn:  Jacob looked at me close.
Annie (when I went to pick her up out of her crib...standing naked):  I took my diaper off.
Jacob to Brian while they are wrestling:  When I'm 6, you're going to be in trouble!
Annie (as I’m singing to her):  No, want Dora and Boots song. (yes, I seriously sing her the Dora theme song)
